This module’s readings introduce you to two case studies…one from the 20th Century and one from antiquity…where decisions based on military geographic analysis, from both a physical and human perspective…could have determined an outcome. Using the example environmental matrix provided for the Battle of Marathonas an example and a guide, select one (1) physical and one (1) human component from Case Yellow, and brieflyanalyze factors that made the German attack successful and/or contributed to the French defeat. Would these factors still be considerations today? Please feel free to draw on any relevant personal experiences.
