The purpose of this course is to examine the fashion industry and its relationship to and affect upon the society in which we live. Through this course you will acquire an understanding of the fashion industry and begin to understand how society and fashion intersect and relate. You will also reflect upon the influence of the fashion industry on society and consider some of the issues that arise from this influence.
In order to do this you will first acquire a basic understanding of how the fashion industry works.
