• All of them give people unrealistic expectations for everything

1. People go to places with high expectations for their appearance because of photos people post on Instagram which are highly composed, edited, and curated, especially landscape photography, architecture photography, etc.

2. Because of people’s high expectations, overtourism happens. Due to the mass number of people posting about the same tourism spot, there is overtourism which causes it to be overcrowded and cause disruption to locals.

• People get jealous because other users only share the good side of their lives making you think their lives are perfect

• People have lost their privacy

• Parents exploit their kids for views and likes

• All of the social media is somewhat toxic

• The comment sections have bots that scam users with links, make nonsensical comments for likes, and steal comments from other users.

• People film or photograph other people without permission to put them on the internet for thousands of people to see, and in some countries it can be a big problem because it is illegal.

• People can easily bully others because they cannot be punished or recognized on the internet and are braver on the internet than in real life.

• Social media platforms, especially Reddit and TikTok, have a lot of negative people and mobs that influence people to join their mobs and become negative towards someone or something, sometimes known as cancellation culture.

• People get addicted and can’t live normal lives.

• People exploit animals for views, claiming to “save” the animals after putting them in danger.

• People can get inspired by social media.

• People can find good places to visit from social media.

• People can learn information easily and in an easy-to-understand way.

• Users can find people to relate to.

• People can connect to other people around the world.

• People can make friends with people from another country.

• You can find out the news easily.
