This week’s required reading and lecture provide extensive material to assess leadership behavior during a major change. In previous weeks, we applied our own research data, critical analysis, and conclusions to the study of leadership. This week, we will expand upon what we learned in previous weeks and add another point of view to test our critical thinking.
This week’s discussion focuses on the following:
One of the biggest challenges for any leader is during the need for change. Leading change through agility and resilience is critical for success.
To prepare for the discussion, you need to provide examples of how leaders in the past have or have not managed the change process with the following questions in mind:
- You need to be able to explain the need for the change to the employees or team members.
- You need to involve the employees or team members in the change process.
- As the leader, you must communicate constantly during the change process.
