Intelligence and Aptitude Tests
School counselors have access to a wide variety of intelligence and aptitude testing tools. It is important for school counselors to identify those that are valid, reliable, and provide results that will guide programs to increase student achievement.
For this assignment, you will write a 250-500-word email for parents/guardians regarding the intelligence and aptitude tests your department will be administering.
Include the following in your email:
- Comparison of purposes, administration, and uses of intelligence and aptitude tests.
- Description of an intelligence test and an aptitude test that you intend to administer, and a rationale demonstrating how they are valid and reliable.
- Explanation of how the intelligence and aptitude tests will be administered and how the results of each will be used to advocate for programs to increase student achievement.
