Thesis Statement: Segregation affects the black community by making a huge impact on areas of life experience such as getting an education. Before desegregation, people of color went to school with other people of color and they did not have the unlimited resources to help them become more educated like the white children in the school system. However, in 1950, Oliver Brown, father of Linda Brown, filed a lawsuit against an all white school who refused to admit Linda into summer school. The father testified on Linda’s behalf that she had to travel an hour and twenty minutes away to attend an all black summer school, when there was an all white school seven blocks away. On May 17, 1954, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of NAACP due to violating the 14th amendment, this case is known as the Brown V. The Board of Education. It ruled that the U.S. laws establishing racial segregation in public schools are unconstitutional.
 a) How did the Brown V. The Board decision changed drastically after the decision was made? How did the whites feel about desegregation? How did desegregation affect the U.S.?
b) Over the years, how did segregation in schools change in the U.S.? And what were the consequences?
