Our goal as educators is to help students reach their optimum. Based on your reading and experience, discuss the physical conditions necessary for optimal learning and your role as a teacher in developing a healthful school environment. Discuss the relationship of personal, family, school, community, and environmental factors as related to student academic, physical, emotional, and social well-being. Share how The Responsible Decision Making Model and Resistance Skills Model, can be used to promote healthy living – provide specific examples of situations where young people must make a decision and how each model can be used in the situation to promote healthy choices.
