Please submit your essay drafts to this drop box on or before midnight this Friday March 25, 2022. Remember, your essay is going to be on the topic (or a similar topic) to that which you created for the Thesis assignment in this course. You will be graded based on the following criteria:
1. Introductory Paragraph: can be just a single sentence, which represents your thesis. We can build upon this sentence as we progress through the course.
10 marks.
2. Body Paragraph 1: Can be as short as 2 sentences in length. You are going to present an argument in support of your thesis. This argument/point will be at least one sentence in length. You will then support this point with a proof (i.e. example that applies logic, etc. as disussed in last week’s lecture video). This “proof” will be at least one sentence in length. Once again, we will build upon this paragraph as we progress through the course.
25 marks.
3. Body Paragraph 2: Once again, can be as short as 2 sentences. You are going to come up with a second argument in support of your thesis, as well as a corresponding proof. Try to organize these point/proofs based on the different kinds of ordering discussed in last week’s (week seven’s) video lecture.
25 marks.
4. 3. Body Paragraph 2: Once again, can be as short as 2 sentences. You are going to come up with a third argument in support of your thesis, as well as a corresponding proof. Try to organize these point/proofs based on the different kinds of ordering discussed in last week’s (week seven’s) video lecture.
25 marks.
5. Spelling/grammar: although a conclusion is not needed at this point in the writing process, please make sure to use proper spelling and grammar for this draft.
