In this activity, you will practice rhetorical analysis by performing a brief mini-analysis of a Pitch. This activity will help you gain additional experience with rhetorical analysis including how to integrate perspectives on genre features. You should choose a Pitch that aligns with your interests and which you may choose as the topic for your final rhetorical analysis essay.
Pitch presentations are all about “getting something done” by asking people to invest time, resources, or money in your project. Pitches could be used to promote good behaviors (public health campaign), sell a skill or expertise, sell an idea (TED Talks), ask for support for your work (Patreon), or sell a product, service, or investment opportunity.
